Bentota

Our last full day in Galle, so we went to a nearby beach town (about an hour away) called Bentota.  We had a blast riding and falling off a banana boat.  The first time we were tipped from the banana was a shock and we all went flying off of it into the sea.  Grandma panicked and was using my head and neck to secure herself in the water, and without realizing it, she was holding me down under water.  We all laughed as soon as we realized we were totally safe, but Grandma was shouting for the boat driver to slow down...lol!
After that slippery banana boat, we rented a jet ski, and the boys had their first experiance on one.  They loved it, but Ramzi was being quite cautious and didnt go to fast with them.  Ramzi and I had fun on it too.  The last time we rode one together was on our honeymoon.
We worked up an appetite and Aslam ( our tour guide ) suggested a byriani restaurant, the food was delicious. Once we had our fill, we headed to Bentota Beach for some sand and surf fun on this beautiful island paradise.
We came back to the hotel and while the kids swam, we had high tea by the pool, and our friend Shezard came to visit.  We ended the day in style, eating dinner inside the Galle Fort at a restaurant/hotel called Deco on 44 which Ramzi's Friend Fazal ownes. Shezard, Aslam, and mom's friend, Travis Hepponstall joined us for an elegant and delcious dinner which to our surprise was totally comped by Fazal.  Thank you Fazal for your hospitality.  We enjoyed our evening at your beautiful hotel.
