So, this is it....our final destination Jetwing Blue, Negambo.
Our last 3 days, and we spent them relaxing on the beach, eating (of course) ,taking long walks, and our favorite...hanging with friends.
So happy that some friends were able to come visit us on our last night. It meant a lot to us for them to take time out of their schedules on a week night to come see us. Uncle Ruwan had a beautiful candle lit table set up on the beach for all. Our stays at Jetwing Hotels throughout the Island were absolute luxury, from the beautiful rooms, to the mouth watering meals, to the professional and courteous service, we felt like V.I.P's the entire time. Thank you Uncle Ruwan for organizing and suggesting our accommodations and showing us Sri Lanka in style!
As the boys slept in with grandma, Ramzi and I hopped a tuk tuk to the Negambo fish market...what a sight! Fisherman were coming in with their daily catch, while others were selling unbelievable amounts of seafood. Local restaurants and home cooks could be seen in droves coming to buy their feasts.
As evening approached, we sadly got in our van, driven by our one and only, best tour guide/driver on the island...Aslam, and headed on our journey home.
Thank you Sri Lanka and your people for the joy, beauty and hospitality you showed us.
Each balmy day spent on this island jewel, was the best day ever!
