Monkeys, elephants, and ancient ruins, oh my! As we drove through the middle of the country (following the brown dirt road), we didn't run into a scarecrow, a lion or a tin man. Instead, we fed monkeys, we posed for pics in front of an amazing freshwater tank that was built by a King, and we listened to our tour guide, Aslam give us a history lesson on ancient Sri Lanka. We then hopped aboard an elephant, and went on an unforgettable ride through a living village. Had Dorothy dreamt of Sri Lanka instead of Oz, the only clicking she would have done was with her camera!
There's no place like (this island) home!!!!
