Aahhh! We arrived in Trincomalee and had our welcome drinks at our hotel, Chaaya Blu! We had two room, one upstairs and one down. Kids couldn't choose if they wanted to swim in the pool or go to the ocean. Good thing we chose the pool option first, as Ramzi ran into one of his old classmates from his high school, St. Peters College. Again, we went for walks on the beach, met some local fisherman and I couldn't help but flirt with some handsome beach police. We enjoyed our tranquil surroundings, the beautiful friendly people and the amazing buffets. We went for an evening swim, the weather is always warm and balmy and the water always seems to be a place of shelter.
We took a boat ride to nearby Pigeon Island and enjoyed a super fun day of snorkeling and swimming. It was Kaden and Camron's first time, and they did great! It was my absolute joy to see Kaden and Ramzi venture out together to explore the sea life. The boys have become such amazing swimmers, and this has opened up so many new adventures for them.
