Jetwing Vil Uyana in Sigiriya

This little slice of heaven is just where we needed to stay during our time in Sigiriya.  The lushness of greens and the tranquility of the lake had us continually exploring this gem of a hotel.  The room, or should I say bungalow was very spacious and beautifully decorated. We had a balcony as well as our own little plunge pool. There is wildlife all around! We let the boys explore and to their surprise and ours they spotted a snake.  Kaden, the studios dude he is, took Camron and went straight to the hotel library and found a book on local snakes.  They were relieved to report that the snake they saw (near our bungalow) was harmless.  Thank God, cause I was internally freaking out.  There were peacocks, and fish, various birds and reptiles and loris's. We were even told that the occasional elephant wanders around the outside of the property. The dining experience was exceptional. No buffets, just a set menu or ala carte ordering and it was fab. We met a family that recognized us from a previous location (Yala). In a (coco)nutshell, the most beautifully unique 5 star hotel we have ever seen.
